CHRISTmas fun & Happy New Year!!

I'm a little late keeping up here, but we had a really nice Christmas. It always goes by way too fast, and I really can't believe it's almost 2010!! We spent Christmas Eve at home, just the 4 of us, which was really nice. We usually go to Christmas Eve service at church, but it was raining SO hard, and Gracie had a little cold, so we decided to stay in. I cooked Chicken Pot Pie (somehow that has become a tradition), and we opened presents. The kids were SO excited! Later we did baths, read The Christmas Story, and it took FOREVER for the kids to get to sleep!! Santa was about to fall asleep waiting!! The kids actually slept until 8 Christmas morning, which is late at our house, then we headed downstairs to see if Santa came! And he REALLY did!! Gracie couldn't believe he ate all his cookies!! The kids played with all their new stuff until we headed over to my parents for Christmas Dinner. and MORE presents!!! All I could think was where in the world we were gonna put all this stuff!!! And next year we will have another little munchkin around here!!

I really can't believe it is 2010 (well, almost), and Hale and I have been married over 10 years, have 2 precious, HEALTHY kids, and one sweet little baby girl on the way in about 12 weeks!!(hopefully not sooner) I usually have some kind of "resolution" that I never keep, but this year I (we) hope to really make some changes in my life. First of all, I want to be a better christian. I consider myslf to be a "strong" christian, but then I find myself always asking God for things, and not thanking him enough for the true blessings he has given me and my family. Most of you know the breast cancer scare I had back in March. I felt SO close to God then. I feel like God healed me. The doctor and radioligists all but told me I had cancer. I can't tell you how many times I heard "it doesn't look good, it looks like cancer". I had so many people praying, people I didn't even know. I was ready, and "prepared" to hear the diagnosis of the big "C". And It wasn't cancer!!!! Praise GOD!!! A friend at church, she kept telling me "honey, it just got prayed away". I think it did. That was a time in my life when I truly felt like God answered my prayer. Then we were so happy, and we got back into our normal routine, still going to church regularly, but letting myself slowly slip back into my "pray when I need something". So, back to my point, my #1 goal this year is to better my relationship with God. I want to be a better wife. Hale works so hard, everyday, so that I can stay home and just be "mommy". I do NOT tell him thank you enough. We get so wrapped up in our daily routines, and the kids, that we need to make more time for US. We just talked about the fact that we really need a date night. Weston heard us, andhe said "a date? you're already married! " Yes, a date, by ourselves. I want to be a be a better, more patient mom. This pregnancy has really tested my patience, and sometimes I am NOT patient. Really. Just ask my kids. Lastly, we are really gonna try and stick to our financial plan for the year. We say that every year, but this year we have to. I am SO excited about this year! I can't wait to see this little girl that is constantly kicking me, and I can't wait to see Weston and Gracie with her. (by the way, I will tell you her name as soon as we tell some family)

Happy New Year ya'll! Here are some pictures from our Christmas.

Little Stella Grace

My best friend Jennifer and her husband Nick welcomed precious Stella Grace (little sister to Paige & Colton) into their family on Tuesday. Jennifer had been in and out of the hospital for a week with high blood pressure, and the doctor decided it was time....4 weeks early! But she weighed 6lbs 14oz and was like 20 inches long, and perfectly healthy!! She is so precious and I seriously could just eat her up!! It really made me so much MORE excited for our little one to come! Please keep Jennifer in your prayers, she has been home since Thursday night on bp medicine and it's still really high at times. I am just so thankful they are both okay. God Is Good, All the Time!!!
I'll post some pics of my kiddos later when my hubby gets home with the other computer. Have a great day!

So Thankful

We have had a nice Thanksgiving Day! So often, I stress about things that seem so big at the time, and I really try to remind myself daily of all the blessings God has given me and my family. I worry about my kids, I am a major worrier when it comes to them and their health. I too often think about what I would do if one of them got sick..really sick. I have to remind my self I am NOT in control, and God only gives us what he knows we can handle. We stress about money, and always need "more". But seriously, I (we) have SO much to be thankful for, much more than some. I am thankful for my hubby who loves me... even when I am a grouch, that he HAS a job, and and I can stay home and take care of our little blessings. I am thankful for my church, and such godly, christian friends. I am thankful for such a big, loving family. I am thankful for my health, and this precious little one who will be here before we know it. I am thankful for my babies, who aren't really babies anymore. I am SO thankful that God allowed me to be a Mommy, it's the best job in the world.

Happy Thanksgiving!

It's a...........

We got home from the doctor a little while ago, and we are very excited, and I am very surprised, IT"S A GIRL!!!!!
Weston was very sad, so it was hard to get excited when she said "it is a girl for sure"! Honestly, I really thought it was a boy, I don't know why, but I really did. I'm sure Weston will come around, but I felt so sorry for him. Gracie was clueless, but she would be fine either way. She just LOVES babies! Mom is coming over in a few minuted so I can take Weston to Target. Maybe if I let him pick something out for the baby, he'll be a little happier. Poor thing! Love that kid!!
I'll try to scan the ultrasound pic later! Have a great weekend!

baby update and pics of kiddos

WELL......... yesterday was a crazy doctors appointment!! I am now 18 weeks, and I will have an ultrasound on the 20th to see if this baby is a boy or a girl!! YAY! But...they had to re-do some of the bloodwork (for blood clotting disorders) because some of it was lost on the way to the lab. My doctor also recommended getting Progesterone shots weekly to hopefully prevent another early delivery. So, every week I have to go and get a BIG shot in my hiney!! YUCK!! I hate shots!! But I will do whatever I need to do to keep from having another premature delivery, and teeny tiny baby. (Weston 4lbs 14 oz, Gracie 3lbs 13 oz) So that is the scoop on me and the baby.

Gracie had her last soccer game Wednesday and they got little medals and a Munchkin Madness Tshirt. She ran more at this last game than she ever has! It was sooo cute.

Here are a few pics from Soccer and Weston practicing Basketball at home. Have a great weekend!

Fall Fun

We had a great Halloween weekend. Friday night was our Fall Festival at church, but I only took 1 picture, and Saturday night we went Trick or Treating in Jennifer's neighborhood. The kids had a blast!

Tomorrow I go back to the doctor. I found out last week that all the bloodwork that I thought came back good... well some of it was actually LOST!!! Yes...LOST!! They have put a trace on it but somewhere on the way to the lab, it was lost. Soooooo, I may have to have some of the bloodwork again. YUCK!!! I will find out tomorrow. I will hopefully schedule an ultrasound in the next few weeks to see if this little one is s boy or girl!!

Here are a few pictures from the weekend!

T.G.I.F

We have a the busiest week and I am , once again, SO glad it's Friday!! Weston had a Field Trip Monday to the Fire Station, Tuesday night was the PTA meeting at school and awards for the Read A Thon ( he was one of the top readers in his class), and Wednesday the 1st Grade had their 1st annual Sock Hop for the 50th Day of School. The kids had a blast!!! My child who at home (or anywhere else for that matter) would NEVER dance in front of ANYONE was doing what we may could call "dancing"! I was dying laughing!! I wish I had a video, it was hilarious....and cute, of course. Anyway, I need to go catch up on my soaps and DWTS so her are a few pics.
Ya'll have a good Friday!

pUmPkiN PatCh TiMe

We went to the Pumpkin Patch today, and as usual the kids loved it!! Weston immediatly found the "bumpy pumpkins and those were his favorite. Gracie calls all pumpkins "punkin patch", and she didn't want me to take her picture until she found her "baby punkin patch". She loved all the little bitty ones. I love fall, but I do hate to be cold! I love to see my kids get excited, even about those little things that do seem like much to us! They are so much fun!! I can't believe this time next year we will have a 6 month old baby!! AAAHHH! I have to admit, I am mostly very stressed about having another baby and going through all the baby stuff again, but I am getting SO excited! We will find out in mid November if it's a boy or girl, I can't wait!!

Anyway, enough rambling.....Happy Fall Ya'll!!!

favorite picture friday

I forget most fridays to do this, but I found these old pictures on the computer today and thought I would post them. It's crazy to see how much my kiddos change and grow WAY too fast. This is late summer 2008 ( I think)at my brothers house. They love to "ride" the tractor!

Lovin' the short week

I am soooo glad it is Friday!! We had Fall Break Monday and Tuesday and I did not want Weston to go back to school!! Am I crazy? I love it when we are home....all of us!! We have a busy weekend coming. Mom and Dad are moving tomorrow, and tomorrow night we are gong to El Mezcal (YUM!!) for Mom's birthday which was actually a few weeks ago. And Sunday we might be going to a Pumpkin Patch with some friends, if the weather cooperates.

Not much to say today, but here are a few pictures from the last week or so! When Hale watches football on Saturday, Weston feels the need to wear his Razorback hat...so cute! And my Sweet Gracie cannot smilke normal for a picture to save her life! Silly girl!

quick update

Just got back from the doctor, everything looks good with the baby!! Weston and Gracie were with me so they got to hear the heartbeat! My due date is actually April 9th (not 14th) and all the bloodwork came back NEGATIVE!! Yay!! It is pouring down rain here today, and I am glad I kept Weston home from school today (yes...for no reason except for Fall Break is Mon and Tues) because looks like we are about to have a big storm. It is not fun waiting in the car rider line in the rain!
Anyway, I have lots of cleaning and laundry to do! Have a great Friday ya'll!

Rainy Day

It has rained ALL day today, the kids are soooo bored and I could seriously take a nap!! But, I was able to catch up on like 5 episodes of Dancing With the Stars so that was nice. We had a really busy week last week. Gracie started Soccer, (it's called "Munchkin Madness" and that is just what it was!!) and Weston started a Karate class at Central Church. It was so neat because the teacher is a guy who is a member of the church who teaches the classes for free, and it is christian based, they pray before and after class, and Weston loved it! He starts Upward Basketball at our church in November so I am not sure how long we will be able to do the karate. I do not want to have somewhere to go everyday after school. By the time we get home at 4:05, we do homework (which he has everyday), and play outside for a little bit, eat dinner, take baths, it is time for bed!! Where does the time go? Gracie loved soccer! She was so cute, even though she insisted on wearing Weston's old Munchkin Madness shirt, and black soccer shorts, she looked like a little boy....but of course I had put a bow in her hair! She was so hot, and kept saying "mommy, my yegs (legs) are sooooo tired!!" It was so funny!

I go back to the doctor this Friday. So far the blood work they did at the last appt. has come back negative for any blood clotting problems...YAY! Thanks for the prayers!

Anyway, here are a few pics from the week. The room where Weston had karate was kinda dark so the pictures did not look good. I SO need a new camera!! Maybe Santa will bring me one!! ya'll have a great week!

Still here......

Yes, we are still here! I seriously have to do better keeping up with this little blog!! Right now me and Gracie are the only ones awake. The child cannot sleep past 6:45, her body has a little alarm clock I guess! Honestly, it drives me CRAZY!!! Hale usually gets up with the kids and lets me go back to sleep, so I really should not complain. He is really being a troooper lately! I am sooooooo tired that after the kids go to bed I usually come back downstairs and we watch our shows. What in the world would we do without DVR? Anyway, I have been falling asleep laying down with Weston every night. I still haven't watched Dancing with the Stars from last Tuesday!!!

We had a pretty un eventful week last week. Here are a few pictures of my crazy kids! They love to go into Weston's closet and find whatever they can to wear, especially things that don't match and any kind of old costumes! Gracie loves to wear Weston's clothes!! AHHHH!! The one of Gracie in my glasses I thought was cute!

Gotta get ready for church, Hale will be happy since I let him sleep in! Ya think that will make up for his Hogs losing again? Probably not. Have a great week!

playing catch up

Last week was super busy at our house so I have not been on the computer much. We stared back to Mother's Day Out on Tuesday. Gracie and I both had a great day! I have a really good class, and Gracie LOVED her class. She was so excited because she got to take a backpack like Weston. Wednesday I had a Room Mom meeting at Weston's school, and I had planned on catching up on laundry (again!!!) but when Gracie took a nap that day.....so did I!! Friday was crazy!! I had an ultrasound at 8:30 that morning. So I took the kids to Jennifer's at 8, Hale met me at the doctor, and my fears were calmed......there was a heartbeat, there is only ONE baby, and everything looks good!! Praise God!!! I don't know why, but I was so worried. Our little blessing #3 is due to make an appearance April 14th, which in my world is actually March. Weston and Gracie were 3 weeks early and small, so the doctor ran some special type of blood test to check and see if I have some kind of problem that causes low birth weight. Please pray this comes back negative, because if I do have this I will have to have some type of blood thinner everyday. From what I hear from other people this is a shot in my stomach!!!! Lord help me!

Anyway, back to Friday.....busy day. I had the ultrasound that morning, then I went to pick Gracie up and had to be back at the Dr. at 11:00 for my appointment. That took forever, and chatterbox Gracie was talking to everyone she saw! We had to be at Weston's school at 1:00 for D.E.A.R. Day. This is when the high school football players come to read to the kids....so cute! After that, I took Gracie home for a nap, Mom came over to stay with her, and I had to go back the school with cupcakes for the class because everyone turned in permission slips for the Read-A-Thon. I was about to fall out by this time, so I checked Weston and Paige out a little early! They both wore their "Dragon" wear that day so we had to get a picture! We took Paige home and Weston and I went to Blockbuster to get a movie for "movie night". We got "Race to Witch Mountain", but only Hale stayed awake for the whole thing. He said it was really good!

Sooooooo....here is our week in pictures!
