TWO

Our sweet bitty girl turned 2 years old on March 18! Time flies so much faster with the third child, makes me sad :( We had a small family "Minnie Mouse" party at my parents house on her actual birthday. She had so much fun! (pictures to come later:)

Here is what you are up to at 2 Miss Chloe...

loves: blanket and paci (they go together:), Caillou, Barney, love to play with your babies especially when Gracie is home to play with you. You will say "Sis sis!!! Babies!!" That is your way of telling G you want her to play with you. You love canteloupe, pancakes, grapes, bread, yogurt, cucumbers, and pretzels. You love to sit on the kitchen counter when I am cooking, you ask me what everything is and when I answer, you say "oh". You love to play outside and you love cats, which you call "meow". You have tee tee'd on the potty a few times, but you are not ready for big girl panties just yet. You still only sleep through the night a few times a month, but you take good naps:) You weigh 21lbs, wear 18-24mo clothes, size 4 1/2 shoe, and size 2 diapers.

Here are a few pictures of you as a big 2yr old girl!!

conversations with my big girl

Gracie is not a big talker, but she has been asking alot of questions lately...mostly about heaven. When I lay down with her at bedtime, this is when she talks more than she talks ALL day:) God love her:)

G: "Mom, what does heaven look like?

Me: "Well, we won't know until we get there one special day, but it says in the bible that it will

be beautiful."

G: "are there toys there?"

Me: " i bet there are lots of them"

G: "can I take the Nook with me?"

Me: (laughing to myself): "sure you can"

This conversation is one she had with me and Hale at different times...about Leprechauns...

G: "mom, are leprechauns real?

Me: "no, why?"

G: "well, yes they are because Ms. Toney (her teacher) said they are. "

Me: "oh really? what did she say?"

G: "when we came back from gym today she said ...look what a mess the leprauchaun made in our classroom!!" (he left a trail of candy everywhere )

Me: "really, that sounds pretty cool" :))

love my girl:)

learning early

Chloe loves to play "Pop the Bubbles" on the Nook. We just laugh at her, she picks it up, crawls up on the couch and crosses her little legs like she is grown :) She taps the screen like she knows exactly what she is doing. And to think, we only had one TV when I was a kid, no cable, no computers or tablets, no video games. Crazy!

feeling yucky

Chloe has a yucky fever virus and this is pretty much what she wants to do all day. To be honest, I was kinda hoping the strep test was positive. Strep is easily treated, fever viruses are NOT. But I have to remind myself that there are many mommies who are dealing with much worse than a little fever. I do feel bad for my poor girl though :(

bunk beds

Weston has been sleeping with us pretty much all night every night for atleast a year. Before that I would lay down with him, he would sleep in his bed for a few hours and get in bed with us. He IS 8 years old, and getting bigger and taller and even though I love snuggling with him, it was time for him to STAY in his room. We got him a bunk bed, in hopes that with Gracie on top (he flops too much) he will sleep in his room for atleast half the night. So far, he is doing pretty good. We will see how long it lasts. Daddy is happy to have more room in bed now! :)

daddy's girl

Hale and Gracie went to their 1st Daddy/Daughter Dance friday night. Gracie was So excited, and Hale was too...I think:). No really, he was, he just didn't know what to expect, but they had fun. He said Gracie just wanted to run around with her friends, not dance with her Daddy. She told him he looked silly! ha My baby girl is growing up:( I can only imagine in a few years how crazy he will be taking both girls! Sweet memories.

our life right now

This blog is like a big baby book for me, or like our little family journal. I blog so much about Chloe, I guess just because she changes so much so fast. But my big babies are doing so much right now, and they are growing up too quickly. I feel like I need to write everyday the funny things they say and do.

my sweet boy: Weston is 8, and I swear sometimes I look at him and I just want to cry because I know in the blink of an eye, he will be a teenager and he won't think his mom is cool :( And of course I think he is the most handsome boy ever. Weston still sleeps in the bed with us, crazy I know. The poor child is scared of his own shadow. We are working on getting bunk beds and going back to his room. He falls asleep every night holding my hand. He loves his daddy. He is so kind hearted, and thinks so deeply. Sometimes he is selfish just like any other kid, but he is so sweet, and all I have to do is remind him how lucky and blessed he is. He loves Jesus, and can't fathom why everyone doesn't. He likes to climb, and play hard. He is taking gymnastics and is awesome at it. He loves his teacher, but doesn't love school. I love my sweet boy more than words. My first baby.

my first baby girl: Gracie is 5 going on 15. The last 5 1/2 years flew by so fast, sometimes I have trouble believing it. Gracie is our quiet and sweet but strong-willed girl. She is a great sleeper and has been since the day she was born. She and I butt heads quite a bit. I am told that is what girls do to their mommas. She is SO shy, and it takes all we have to get her to loosen up and have fun. Gracie loves clothes, and right now, her favorite thing to wear is tennis shoes and "exercize clothes". She is very dramatic, but only at home. She is a sweet , sweet girl, and I hope she still loves us when she is a teenager. (I am scared of those years.) Gracie takes gymnastics and LOVES it so much. She can't wait for Mondays. She loves school and her teacher, and she is a Daddy's girl no doubt. She had her first sleepover this weekend. Kinda sad for me, but she was so excited. It makes me so happy for her to get excited over things. I love my big girl, and I pray we will be best friends one day.

my bitty girl: Chloe is our baby. She is alomost 2, but thinks she is grown. She is feisty, beautiful and strong-willed like her sister, and wild and loving like her brother. Great combination if you ask me :) Chloe is a HUGE personality in a tiny little body. She climbs on everything, gives the biggest "squeezy" hugs, and loves her momma. She doesn't like to eat or sleep, and is by far my most high maintenence child. We can't get enough of her, and she makes all of us laugh everday. God knew what he was doing when he completed our family. We can't even remember what life was like before her.

big girl bed

So....the day after my last post, we had to take down the crib (tears...). Monkey girl was climbing out way too often, so when she did it in the middle of the night, Hale said it was time. He knew I didn't really want to do it yet. Chloe is the WORST sleeper EVER! And I knew it would get worse....and it did. Much worse. But as our sweet pediatrition always tells me.... this too shall pass. So, here are a few pictures of Chloe and her big girl bed. She was excited, mommy...not so much. No more baby beds in our house :(
