20 months

I am way behind on blogging about our bitty Chloe, but she is 20 months old now, and quite a mess!! She loves to laugh and play and be silly, she loves to play with Bubby and Sissy, she does NOT love to eat or sleep, she loves the Christmas tree and likes to take ornaments off 1,574 times a day, she does NOT love Santa. She loves to say mommy..which actually saounds like "mawmy" all day, she loves her paci and blanket, they go hand in hand. She loves school, Elmo, little people, shoes, bread, grapes, sweet tea, and m&m's. I can't believe how fast these last 20 months have flown by. I would love to freeze her at this age right now...:(( Here are a few pictures of my girl lately.

Gymnastics

Weston started Gymnastics about 6 weeks ago, and he LOVES it!!! I think we have found his "thing". This is the first sport he has done without complaining every week about going to practice. His coach said he has natural gymnastics ability. We had always thought he would be good at it, just wish we had started him earlier. Here are a few pictures of out little gymnast:)

little mommy

I loved baby dolls when I was a little girl, so I love to see Gracie and Chloe playing "mommy" with their babies. I came in the living room so see Gracie rocking her baby, just like I do Chloe every night. (Yes, I still rock her to sleep...don't judge..haha:) Sweet girls.

playing catch up...

Well, I would love to think that I have time everyday, or every other day to blog about my babies, this is somewhat of a baby book for me. But, that is just not realistic:) I noticed today that it has been 3 1/2 months since I posted, which means I missed the chance to journal about how my Chloe changes everyday:( She is growing up too fast for my liking. Here are a few pictures from just everyday things, to Halloween, to Thanksgiving feasts at school.

a week in our life....tuesday

Today started early. Not by choice. I have been so worried about Gracie and this bathroom problem. I was anxious about taking her to the doctor, and worried how she would handle not eating breakfast until after the appointment. (they wanted her to fast to get an accurate blood sugar). She was NOT happy about it. She is my child who wants to eat as soon as she wakes up. We took Weston on to school and headed to the doctor. Everything looked great. Dr Guinter was not concerned, and reassured me that it was most likely a habit of her not emptying her bladder. We will see. Gracie wanted to go to school so I checked her in after the dr, and Chloe and I came on home. Hale came home early to get some stuff done around the house before he had to leave for Dallas, and I cleaned upstairs. It started storming about the time Hale was about to cut grass, so since he was home I left Chloe napping while I went to pick the kids up from school. Low key afternoon, homework, Hale cleaning the garage, and me chasing Chloe while doing 6,387 other things. She is a monkey!! Here is a picture of my girl talking on the phone to Elmo....ha

a week in our life....monday

Monday....August 22, 2011

Today was a crazy day. I felt overwhelmed, I don't know why. This morning I was able to get up and get a shower before the kids were up, which is rare. I gave the kids breakfast, which Chloe threw on the floor. I had to make the big kids lunches, and get completely dressed for a room mom meeting after I dropped the kids off at school. Most days, I take a shower and dry my hair, but don't put on makeup or anything just to take the kids to school. We have to leave the house by 8:40 so my time is limited to only what the kids need. I DO usually get dressed and put makeup on later in the morning. It makes me feel better and more productive for some reason. Chloe and I went to my friend Jennifer's house for the meeting with another mom from Weston's class to talk about upcoming stuff. We stayed for a while after to visit. We came home and Chloe had lunch, and took a nap. I got caught up on a few episodes of OLTL and Kate Plus 8, checked facebook and blogs, and did a load of laundry. My best friend from elementary school and her daughter (who is Chloe's age) are coming Thursday so really I needed to be doing a million things but sometimes I just want to sit down!! I decided to make homeade pizza for supper so I checked the cabinets to make sure I had everything and then Chloe was up from her nap (about 2 hrs). We headed to the car rider line to pick the kids up. My friend and neighbor Kathy called and asked if we could pick up her daughter too. No problem. I pulled up to the cone where my kids were.... and no Reagan. By this time my gas light came on. Lovely....why didn't I get gas before I needed to sit in the car line for 45 minutes?? I don't know. Anyway, we had to pull over and wait for someone to bring Reagan out to me. So I have all the kids in the car and Gracie was excited to get to play with Reagan for a bit. I always ask how everybody's day was. Gracie's answer..."fine, but Ms. Toney thinks I am sick because I went to the bathroom 10 times". Let me back up and say she told me the same thing Friday, and then wet the bed 3 nights in a row. We get home and get somewhat settled, while Chloe whines and hangs onto my leg while I call the dr. Made her an appt for Tuesday morning. Then I called Ms. Toney to get the details. She said Gracie went to the bathroom 6 times in an hour. NOT normal. So I am worried. this is when Hale calls me and his words were..."I have good news and bad news." This is never good. Good news is he bought a truck great. Bad news...he has to go out of town (whick he hardly ever does which makes it hard when he does) from Wednesday until next Tuesday. While I know this is not the end of the world, this is a bad week for that. So anyway, the day continued with a whiny bitty girl, and W and G fighting constantly until bedtime. These are the days.....but I wouldn't trade them. Crazy or not. Thank the LORD we are healthy.

My only picture of the day....this is what happens when you decide to give a 17 month old a yogurt and a spoon to make her happy!!

a week in the life....Sunday

I decided to blog about about our days for a whole week. This will be totally boring to anyone but us I am sure, but this blog is like a journal/baby book for me and I thought it would be neat to look back and read what our days were like with an 8yr old, 5yr old, and 17 month old.

Sunday.....August 21, 2011

We woke up a little later than normal around 8. Hale was on his daily conference call, the kids went downstairs and I got in the shower. Chloe was yelling from her room when I got out, so I went in to get her. We went downstairs and ate breakfast, and started getting ready for church. We only went to Sunday School, then headed to Taco Bell. Somehow, this became a Sunday "after church" tradition...Taco Bell...and we can't drive-thru, the kids want to eat inside...so we did. We came home, Gracie went to play at her friend Reagan's house, and I got Chloe down for her nap. Hale and Weston headed to Jennifer's to pick up Colton so he and Weston could play for a while. I needed to do laundry and some cleaning but instead sat on the computer reading facebook and blogs. Hale and my dad went to look at a few trucks for Hale (with no luck. I ran to the store after Chloe got up from her nap, and all the sudden our day was gone. Jennifer came to get Colton, and Gracie came home. By this time, it was too late to take Gracie to choir, which I totally forgot about. Reagan's mom sent us some pork tenderloin for dinner, and it was SO good, even Weston loved it. By 6, Gracie was in full meltdown mode. This kindergarten thing is starting to catch up with her. She is SO tired. The plan was to get the kids to bed early so we could watch Big Brother, but when I laid down with Weston he was all the sudden scared about Casey Anthony. OH MY GOODNESS. This is what happens when you aren't listening to K-Love, and the radio station talks about her killing her daughter. Lovely...just what I want my 8yr old to hear. So needless to say, so tv time for mommy and daddy. A day in our life.

The only picture i took today was with my phone, Weston and Colton doing who knows what. Weston has a thing for "flat bill" hats (which I will not buy...so he flips the bill up on his baseball cap), and fake gold jewelry out of the machine at Zaxby's. Should I be worried??

17 months

Chloe is 17 months old. She is SO much fun right now!! We literally just sit and watch her, and laugh everyday. Weston and Gracie LOVE her so much. Sometimes I can't believe I have 3 kids...crazy. Here is a picture of my girl on the day she turned 17 months. She is quite busy and doesn't like to sit still so this is the best I got that day. She looks so big to me in these pictures but poor thing only weighs barely 18 pounds. Bitty girl.

"the look"

I had to post this because Chloe is SO funny right now!! I want to be able to look back at this and remember how funny she was at this age, and this hilarious face she makes!! I am not sure when she started doing it..or why...but this is what she did when I told her to look at me so I could take her picture...."the look". Funny girl.

back to school.....3rd grade and KINDERGARTEN

My babies are back in school, and my 1st baby girl is in kindergarten!! How can this be?? It was so weird the first day, just me and Chloe at home. She couldn't figure out where everybody went. Gracie was SO excited so it was easier for mommy. I just about lost it when we walked out of that room the first day. I was giving her a kiss and hug and I had tears ready to pour out, but she was so happy!! Then I think it really hit me the first day I let her get out in the car rider line with Weston. She wasn't scared at all, but it didn't seem like she was big enough to be walking into that big 'ole school. I am SO happy for her that she loves school. The only time she was sad was the 2nd or 3rd day. I think she was just tired, and she wanted to stay home. I don't think she realized she would be going all day everyday. One morning it was storming, and she said "mom, since it's storming I don't have to go to school?" This is what happens when you let your child "skip" preschool when it storms:) haha Weston is a big 3rd grader! He loves his teacher and loves 3rd grade. Seriously, how did my babies grow up so fast? I really don't like it. Actually, there are lots of fun things about them growing up, but it just means they are getting closer and closer to middle school and high school, and that scares me. Right now they are still so innocent. There are just so many things we cannot shelter them from. SO SAD...

Anyway, now that I sound like a debbie downer, here are a few pics of my babies...who love school!! Loving school is a big deal for a certain boy in our house....

check-up day

Gracie had her 5yr old check up last week, and she did not enjoy it one bit. I told her we would go do something special after (we got a cupcake), and this was her response..."mom, I am NOT going to my doctor appointment!!!" Well, she went, and it took all of my strength to pick her up kicking and screaming to get her up on the table for her shots. Poor girl! Dr. Guinter says she will take after her Daddy and be tall. She weighed 51lbs (75th percentile) (one pound more than Weston, poor guy) and 49 1/2 inches tall (90th percentile). My big girl...and to thing she was my tiniest baby.

something to remember

The other day I was putting away the kids' old lunch boxes, and opened them to make sure their was nothing inside. There is a pocket inside Weston's, and I had noticed before their was some notes in there, but this time I took them out. My sweet boy saved every one of the little happy lunch notes I sent everyday. I love that kid so much!!!! He is my tender-hearted, sensitive one. I pray he always stays that way. I know the day will come when he doesn't think I am cool anymore. So sad. (a little funny....Gracie told me after a few weeks of school last year..."mom, please don't put those papers in my lunch anymore". love that girl)

16 months

I just realized that I am so behind on blogging that I forgot to do Chloe's 15 month post. This summer has been busy, and I don't get much free time to be on the computer when I am chasing this wild girl around 24/7!! My sweet bitty girl is 116 months old, and it still seems like yesterday she was a tiny sweet little newborn...and then I wake up to the reality that she is by far the most high maintenence child that I have!!! I am SO thankful that she is such a happy, funny girl, but the child literally wears me out. She may be a tiny 18 pounds (barely) but she is feisty and strong willed.

Chloe bear....here is what you are up to at 16 months...

**You weigh 18 pounds. (way smaller than W and G at this age)

**You wear 12 month clothes, and size 2 1/2 shoe

**You still wear size 2 diapers

**You are a picky eater; you like mashed potatoes, bread, pretzels, chicken and rice, cucumbers, cinnamon rolls, any fruit but especially canteloupe. I still give you a bottle twice a day so you get milk.

**You are NOT a good sleeper. I usually put you to bed around 8 and you get up atleast once a night, usually more like 2 or 3 times. Makes mommy crazy.

**You have really bad excema, we use a special creme that seems to be helping

**You LOVE to read books, especially ones with animal pictures. You give all the animals kisses.

**You LOVE to play outside. We have to watch you like a hawk because you climb up the ladder to the swingset. You think you are bi!

**You love to sit in my lap and sing songs. I love it too!

**You are so sweet, and when you are sleepy, your paci and blanket are your best friend.

We love you Bitty!!

a day at the lake

Our sweet friends (and sunday school teachers) invited us to go to the lake with them and we had a blast!! Weston was so excited, and Gracie with her fear of the unknown kept asking me how she was gonna swim in the lake. I told her just like you do in the pool but you can't reach the bottom. Poor think, she couldn't imagine what it was like. She was excited when she got on the boat though. Hale and Weston surfed, and the kids loved jumping off the boat and swimming in the water. Hale was in heaven, and we had such a fun day. Mom and Dad stayed with Chloe and I am pretty sure she got everything she wanted:)
