4 years already??

I can't believe it was 4 years ago (friday) when we saw our Gracie girl for the first time! I will never forget...we were out to eat at El Mezcal with my parents, Vic and Summer and I started having "real" contractions. I had been having braxton hicks (sp?) since early on but these felt different. I told Hale to watch the clock because I thought this was it, and I think he thought I was over reacting. Ha! (me??, no way!) Well, they were like 5 minutes apart. So we ALL headed to the hospital, and poor Weston was barely 3 and he was a little scared. By the time they got me all settled my contractions were 2-3 minutes apart and I thought I was dying!!!! ....and I was only 2 centimeters!! Oh my goodness, I thought I had some pain tolerance, but not this time. Well, long story short, I was not dialiting anymore, and her heart rate was dropping so we had an emergency c-section. Luckily, I had already had stadol and an epidural, so I didn't really have chance to be scared it all happened so fast. Out 1st teeny tiny baby girl was born at 2:39 am on July 2, 2006. She was SO small...3lbs 13 oz and 17 1/4 inches. (btw- I was only 36 weeks) I didn't get to see her until the next day because she had to go to the NICU (for 8 long days) because she was so little. She was so beautiful and perfect. She was the BEST baby, and so laid back. Well....not so much anymore! HA! 4 years later, she is still SO beautiful!! She is also very high maintence, funny, loud, silly, and can be SO sweet when she wants to. She loves her brother and sister, milk, cheetos, cinnamon rolls, strawberries, playing outside, swimming, Polly Pocket, barbies, and loves to watch Caillou. She is a very happy girl (unless she needs a nap) and makes us laugh everyday!

We had a fun birthday weekend, I'll post pics later. Here is a few pictures of my girl!

  1. Our little girls have so much in common! Addie was 3 lbs 14 oz and 17 3/4 inches long...and born at 33 weeks. Isn't it hard to imagine them so tiny now??? God truly blessed us with these little miracles:-)
