1yr stats

Chloe had her 1yr check up on Friday. She is a tiny girl.....17lbs, and 28 inches tall. Dr. Guinter said her head was the biggest part of her. She is in the 3rd percentile in weight , and 10th in height. She of course did NOT like the shots, but most of all hated the bandaid on her finger. She would stop crying, and then look at her finger and scream!!

Happy 1st Birthday Chloe....the party

We celebrated Chloe's birthday last Sunday. I can't believe my baby is ONE!!! She had fun eating cake, and playing in her new chair from Mimi and Papa, but she really didn't have any interest in opening presents. We had some family and a few close friends come over to celebrate. Here are some pics of Chloe's special day! I forgot to get a picture of it, but she was SO excited over the balloons, that was her favorite thing!

a temper? who me???

Chloe decided on her birthday that she would reveal her little temper to us! It was actually quite funny, but she was playing with Weston's water bottle and she couldn't get the top top stay on. Needless to say, she was pretty mad. Ha!

Another day, we were outside and I didn't put shoes on her, and she did NOT like to put her feet in the grass and was quick to let me know how she felt about it!

I love that I cought these facial expressions, but Weston thought it was mean for me to take pictures of her when she was "crying". Ha!

My parents got Weston and Gracie a trampoline for an "early" birthday present, and the LOVE it!!! ((i think little miss Chloe likes it a little too!)

one year ago

One year ago today my sweet Chloe came into this crazy world! I seriously can't believe it has already been a whole year. So much changes in a year, and Chloe is SO much fun! We are having a small party for her on Sunday afternoon with family and some sweet friends. Of course she has no clue what a birthday is, but she just laughed when we sang to her this morning! It's really funny because she has been SO whiny today, and really showing us that she is going to have a temper. Hale said she may be giving us a hint of what the next year will be like! ha

Here is what our bitty girl is up to at ONE year!

**you weigh between 16 1/2 and 17 lbs (way less than W & G at 1yr)

**you wear 6-9 and some 6-12 month clothes, and size 3 shoe

**you LOVE to take a bath and cry when I get you out (every night)

**you are walking now, but still mostly crawl

**today we realized that you are like Weston (when he was a baby) in that you do not like to put your feet down in grass

**you are not a big eater, you like mostly baby food still

**you say "dada" (and "mama" sometimes)

**you love to watch W & G play outside and think it's really funny when they dribble the basketball and ride their bikes

**sleeping....not so great. you still usually wake up atleast once during the night, and yes I still give you a bottle when you get up (bad idea, I know)

Jesus in my heart!

I love having this blog. I love that I can journal all of the sweet, funny, crazy and normal things that happen in our everyday life. A little while ago we had gone to check on a friends dog, and then I was taking the kids to my friend Roxanne's house to play. I usually always have K-Love on in the car, and Gracie sings along alot. She is my music lover. Weston likes it and will say if he likes a particular song, but will not sing! My sweet Gracie says to me...."Oh mom, this song makes me have Jesus in my heart!" AAHHHH!! Oh how I pray she always will!!!!!

Chloe will be ONE this Friday, and the girl has (almost) 8 teeth! For the record, Weston and Gracie both got their first tooth at 11 months and they all slowly came is after that. Chloe has this huge smile, and you can usually see them all when she is laughing!! I love it! (You can't really see her teeth in this picture but I just hought it was cute)

Also, she started walking over the last few days!!!! She would rather crawl because she can get there so much faster...especially if we forget to hide the remote!! I will post pics and a video later of my big girl taking some steps!

birthdays and conversations

Chloe will be one next week, and I have been sitting here thinking about how I should be so excited, but I am so sad that my baby is already ONE! Actually, all my kids will celebrate birthdays over the next few months and it is a sad reality that they grow up WAY too fast. Weston will be 8 in May, Gracie will be 5 in July. My (other) baby girl is going to kindergarten!!! Where did the time go? Chloe is starting to walk and talk a little and it's so exciting, because we (all of us) seriously watch every move she makes. You would think she was our first child, really. The kids get as excited as Hale and I do when she does something new. It's precious, they love her SO much. They are so funny though. Gracie and I had this conversation this morning after we dropped Weston off (this is after Weston left the van door open when he got out)...

Me: "Weston...close the door buddy."

Gracie: "Why is Weston so lazy?"

Me: "Gracie, that was rude."

Gracie: "oh, why didn't we have a baby boy instead of a girl, ugh."

The drama of this child!! Where does she come up with this stuff??

Anyway, my babies are growing into little people, and it makes me sad. Different phases of life I guess. I thanks God for these precious little people that make me so happy, sad, crazy, and make me laugh everyday!!
